L'île Notre-Dame est une île artificielle de l'archipel d'Hochelaga qui forme le cœur du Grand Montréal. Elle a été érigée en 10 mois en 1965. Le matériau de remblai provient initialement du dragage du fleuve Saint-Laurent, puis de sols déplacés lors de l'excavation du métro de Montréal (entre 15 et 20 %), ainsi que des carrières de la région. Cette réalisation fut le plus grand chantier jamais réalisé au Québec sur une si brève période. <source wikipedia>

Île Notre-Dame is an artificial island in the Hochelaga archipelago that forms the heart of Greater Montreal. It was erected in 10 months in 1965. The backfill material initially comes from dredging the St. Lawrence River, then from soil moved during the excavation of the Montreal metro (between 15 and 20%), as well as from the region. This achievement was the largest project ever carried out in Quebec over such a short period.

Le circuit Gilles-Villeneuve porte le nom du célèbre pilote québécois qui y a remporté le premier Grand Prix de Montréal en 1978.
Aujourd’hui, le circuit de 4,361 km, accueille toujours le Grand Prix du Canada. Il fait aussi le bonheur des amateurs de vélo, qui s’y donnent rendez-vous pour une simple balade ou pour un entraînement plus intense.
Aménagé sur une île au milieu du fleuve et entouré d'une nature abondante, le circuit offre une vue imprenable sur le centre-ville de Montréal.

Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve bears the name of the famous Quebec racing Pilote who won the first Grand Prix de Montréal there in 1978.
Today, the 4.361 km circuit still hosts the Canadian Grand Prix. It is also a delight for cycling enthusiasts, who meet there for a simple ride or for more intense training.
Set on an island in the middle of the river and surrounded by abundant nature, the circuit offers breathtaking views of downtown Montreal.

Si on prend le temps d’écouter, on peut presque entendre le moteur d’un bolide qui passera le temps d’une demi-seconde.

Si je raconte l’histoire de cette peinture en création, le processus à débuté bien avant d’être sur la toile.

Recherchant la vue, l’angle et aussi la lumiere parfaite, je fais plusieurs visites du site ( ici l’Île Notre-Dame). Je prend plusieurs photos de tous les côtés et je prépare plusieurs montages avant d’être satisfaite.

Mon art est composé d’une scène ou le silence reigne très souvent sans voiture ni personnage. Ma grande question a donc été, comment vais-je peindre le circuit de la F1 Montréal?

If we take the time to listen, we can almost hear the engine of a racing car that will pass the time of half a second.

If I tell the story of this painting in creation, the process began long before being on the canvas.

Looking for the view, the angle and also the perfect light, I make several visits to the site (here Île Notre-Dame). I take several photos of all sides and I prepare many montages before being satisfied.

My art is often composed of a scene where its quiet without cars or characters. So my big question was, how am I going to paint the Montreal F1 circuit?
